About
Al Greenall was born in 1981 and grew up around the Malvern Hills, Worcestershire. Having begun painting early in life he went on to study Critical Theory and Film Studies, graduating from University College Falmouth in 2003. Since returning to painting and visual art in 2005 Greenall has gone on to exhibit widely across the South West and London, and has also worked on several large public art projects and private commissions.
Having lived in Bath, UK, for 6 years, he now lives with his wife in south-western Norway. His growing portfolio and material experimentation shows a conscious investigation of painting as a mode of communication to be explored and advanced with each generation.
"I believe that making pictures will continue to be of importance in the present and future, as it has throughout the past. I strive to make a significant investment in that belief."
